Did you know that the American Association of Orthodontists recommends that every child receives an initial orthodontic examination by age 7? Since no two patients are alike, there is no best specific age at which to begin treatment. Early diagnosis and treatment by an orthodontic specialist will determine the best timing and may prevent more serious problems from developing. Children are not the only ones who need orthodontic treatment. Adults are also great candidates. Our goal is to make sure that you will have a functional bite and beautiful smile. Our doctors will conduct a complete orthodontic exam that includes digital photographs and a digital panoramic X-ray. Conventional braces for kids, teens & adults & cosmetic clear braces — You can choose from braces in conventional metal or translucent ceramic. Clarity braces and Reliance Sapphire braces are virtually invisible and perfect if you are esthetically conscious.

Self-ligating braces — These braces, which are available in conventional metal or clear ceramic, feature a unique clip that holds a superelastic archwire in place, allowing it to slide freely back and forth with less friction. This results in greater patient comfort because there is less pressure on the teeth. Self-ligating braces align your teeth more quickly than conventional braces; they also require fewer adjustments.

Orthodontics early treatment for kids as young as age 7 — We can correct many bite and spacing problems early, which can help reduce the need for extractions and/or surgical correction in the future. Our conservative treatment options include expanders, space maintainers, partial braces and habit appliances.

Top-quality materials — To ensure the best results and optimum patient comfort, Drs. Chawla and Le use only the finest materials, brackets, wires and adhesives. They can even fabricate Essex retainers in their in-office lab.

Functional orthodontic appliances — We offer functional orthodontic appliances to promote the proper growth and development of the teeth and jaws. These include twin blocks, the Forsus™ fatigue resistance device and the Frankel removable appliance.

Temporary anchorage devices (TADs) — These FDA-approved devices are used to assist in the orthodontic movement of teeth. TADs are tiny and comfortable; they are easily placed and removed. Another key benefit of TADs is they can help correct bite problems without the need for extractions or surgery.
